Breeding the Best Puppies

Using scientific testing and positive training to raise the best pet for your family

Our goal as breeders is to prioritize health and temperament above all other concerns when breeding. For Golden Retrievers, that means focusing heavily on hip genetics; more than half of the breed eventually develops clinical arthritis due to genetic hip laxity. (For more details, check out our Health Studies page.)

We take this very seriously. We’ve spent the last 8 years developing lines with the best hips and temperament while maintaining and increasing genetic diversity. Our goal is that noone who takes one of our puppies home will have to watch their pet suffer from chronic pain due to bad genetics, and that every family has the tools and a dog suited to them so they can enjoy their new family member to the fullest.

There’s a mandatory 2-hour training session for all new families, and free lifetime training consultations from a professional trainer (Robin). Check out the video above of her teaching a puppy one of its first behaviors!
